Meet Juan Chun, he is a six-year-old boy who has just graduated pre-kindergarten from his new school in Belize. He has two great parents who have adopted him and taken him into their lives without reservation. Juan is now a happy growing young boy with friends, family and a bright future ahead of him with healthy opportunities and a great education. But Juan’s past is not as bright as all that.
Juan’s mother does not know who his father is. Stressed, scared and unable to support a child she tried to abort Juan by drinking alcohol and other medications. Thankfully her attempts didn’t succeed and Juan was born. Juan’s life was unwanted by his own mother and she would frequently leave him places without any indication of when or if she would return.
Eventually Juan’s mother had a second child and couldn’t support either of her children so she brought them to our orphanage is Belize. After only being at the orphanage for two months Juan’s little brother died from an infant’s disease. After being left for good by his mother and the death of his little brother Juan was now left to the mercy of the orphanage staff. Thankfully the staff at the orphanage are a group of great individuals who care for 70 children from 4 to 15 years old.
Thanks to ACF and donors like you not only is Juan now in great hands with many other children and friends at his home but he can attend a great school in Belize and receive a quality education!
It’s stories like these that give us hope and
encouragement here at ACF. We know that with help and support from our donors we are together making a difference in the lives of children all around the world. Together we are providing love and life for children in the most desperate and distraught places. Together we are making miracles happen!
Abortion, Abandonment, Adoption -
